While there's no required waiting period before you can have sex again, it's a good idea to wait until four to six weeks after delivery. If you do have sex, remember that, whether you had a vaginal birth or c-section, your body is capable of getting pregnant shortly after giving birth. You will ovulate before having your first postpartum period, and as soon as you start ovulating, you can conceive. Since you want to wait at least six months before getting pregnant again, it's probably a good idea to practice protected sex.
