Does Your Child have any rashes?

Did you know?

Young babies often experience skin irritations. Diaper rash, caused by prolonged exposure to wet or dirty diapers, is the most common. Other common rashes are eczema, which results in dry, itchy patches of skin, and cradle cap, characterized by oily, yellowish scales on the scalp. But babies can also get a rash from heat. If Your Child has a rash, keep the affected area clean and dry. Use mild soap and warm water for cleansing, and apply a gentle, hypoallergenic moisturizer or diaper rash cream. Most importantly, allow Your Child's skin to air out as much as possible. If the rash persists or worsens, consult a pediatrician.
