Does Your Child like bananas?

Did you know?
Bananas may be introduced as soon as Your Child is ready to start solid food. They are rich in carbohydrates to energize the body, as well as essential nutrients that babies need, such as folate, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium. These nutrients support the nervous system, skin health, and iron absorption, as well as help to maintain the right blood pressure. Bananas are not a common cause of choking, but they are a common cause of gagging, as they may stick to the inside of the baby’s mouth. To minimize the risk, serve only fresh bananas and make sure to stay close to Your Child at mealtime.
