Your uterus is preparing itself to give birth long before delivery day. You will feel random, generally painless, infrequent uterine contractions called BraxtonHicks contractions. They may occur more frequently when you or Your Child are particularly active, after having sex, or when you are dehydrated. If they cause discomfort drink water, take a hot bath, or change positions to help manage them. If you are having regular contractions 10 minutes apart and the contractions are worsening in frequency or severity, then you should call your doctor.
