It's very important to find a good doctor you trust and feel comfortable with. He/she has a significant impact on your childbirth, which can affect your safety and that of Your Child, as well as the satisfaction and enjoyment of your experience. If the prenatal care you're receiving isn't meeting your needs or if your doctor or hospital doesn't support your preferences for birth, consider switching to a new one. Some hospitals have high rates of induction and cesarean, while others are more experienced in supporting natural or low-intervention births. Try to tour your hospital before your big day, and learn about all the guidelines and policies regarding labor techniques, routine interventions, use of cameras or video, and newborn care.
