Picking an auspicious day to have the baby is considered a very normal thing for Asians. So common that many Asian mothers, compared to other countries, would consult a fortune teller before scheduling a C-section. But only about one in ten pregnancies leads to complications that justify a C-section. Cesarean section prevents infants from picking up, from their mother’s vaginas, important bacteria that would improve their future health.
