A study on South East Asian culture has shown that mothers who had strong co-parenting relationships with grandparents tended to feel more effective in their role as a parent, and in turn, their children tended to be more socially competent six months later. This doesn't mean that you need to agree with everything your parents say, but you should always communicate and come to terms with whatever you've decided together as a team.
