Children’s language development starts to pick up when they turn two; they begin to make phrases containing 2 words, such as ‘big dog’ or ‘more milk’. At this stage, parents may also notice an increase in self-reference — ‘my toy’ or ‘I’m hungry”. If your child is not yet talking at all, don’t worry; many kids are late talkers. Just keep speaking and reading to Your Child and also asking questions about the story you’re reading.
