Learning through play month 13: sensory station

Sensory play supports {[ NAME }}’s cognitive development and the development of fine motor skills.

From the moment children are born, they use their five senses to learn about the world. These senses help us make sense of things in varying ways.

What to prepare
Fill shallow buckets with rice, blocks, pasta, fabric, water, or dish soap bubbles. 

Let’s play!
Allow Your Child to explore, digging through the different textures of the materials. Creating a sensory station will give the little one the opportunity to experience new objects in a safe and creative way. 

Caution
Always supervise during these activities and don’t provide any items that could pose a choking hazard.
