Did you know?
During pregnancy, exercise can prevent excess weight gain and prepare you for delivery, by promoting muscle tone, strength, and endurance. Exercise can also reduce backaches and help you sleep better. It boosts your mood and energy levels and might also reduce the risk of gestational diabetes. For most pregnant women, the recommendation is, at least, 30 minutes of daily moderate exercise. Walking is a great exercise, for beginners with big bellies. Other good choices include swimming, low-impact aerobics, and cycling on a stationary bike. Remember to warm up, stretch, and cool down. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
