The grasp reflex
Early Childhood Development
If you put your finger into Your Child’s palm, your baby makes a fist and tries to grab it.
The grasp reflex begins at birth and lasts until about 3 to 6 months old. It probably teaches Your Child to pick up food and grasp objects.
What are reflexes?
Newborn reflexes are reactions that babies are born with. These reflexes indicate that Your Child’s senses and brain are working properly. All reflexes occur at a specific age and will disappear naturally as the baby grows.
