Freshly expressed or pumped breastmilk can be stored at room temperature (25°C or colder) for up to 4 hours, in the refrigerator (4°C) for up to 4 days, in the freezer that has a separate door (0 to -18°C) for up to 9 months, and in the deep freezer (-4 to -20°C) for up to 12 months. Note: When preparing the frozen breastmilk for Your Child, leave it at room temperature until it's thawed, or leave it in the fridge overnight. Do not use the microwave or boil hot water to reheat the breastmilk as it may destroy important nutrients in the breastmilk and burn Your Child's mouth. Never re-freeze the leftover breastmilk that has already been thawed.
